We enclose a non-refundable and non-transferrable deposit of £75 (£150 for a 2 week booking) and agree to pay the balance no later than 6 weeks before the date of our visit. A returnable bond of £75 is also charged in addition to the rental cost and is payable with/at the time of the balance. In the event of the holidaymakers cancellation the balance is non-refundable and non-transferrable. The cottage owners therefore recommend that the holiday makers take out their own suitable holiday insurance cover. Please make cheques payable to T Robinson & T Day and send to T Robinson & T Day, Cliff Crest, High Street, Staithes, North Yorks, TS13 5BH.

Terms & Conditions

1. The holidaymakers undertake to keep the cottage premises and all furniture, fittings and effects in or on our premises in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday and also undertake to leave the cottage in the same state of cleanliness and tidy order as they found it. 2. The owners of the cottage will be reimbursed by the holidaymakers for any breakages or damage occurring during their stay (accidental or otherwise). 3. The number of persons occupying The Moorings will not exceed the maximum permitted of 7, or 4 persons if the special discounted rate for 4 persons has been charged. If 7 persons is to be exceeded this is only allowed with prior permission of the cottage owners and an extra charge will be levied. 4. No smoking allowed in the cottage. 5. Access time is from 3.00pm and departure by 10.00am 6. Pets are not allowed in the cottage other than strictly by prior arrangement with the cottage owners. Definitely none allowed during school holidays. An additional charge of £20 will be made for a dog, if allowed, and the dog must not be left on the premises unattended or allowed in the bedrooms. 7. The parking permit provided for the local authority car park must be returned to The Moorings at the end of the holiday in readiness for use by the next occupants. 8. The cottage owners reserve the right to withhold part or all of the returnable bond if any of the above conditions are not adhered to by the holiday makers. 9. If, by circumstances outside the cottage owners control, The Moorings is not available on the agreed dates any monies paid will be refunded in full and the holiday makers will have no further claims against the owners. 10. Brochure - the description of the property is generally accurate but the owners will not be liable for any inaccuracy that may exist and the tenants/holiday makers agree that the Misrepresentation Act 1967 is excluded from this agreement. 11. This letting is made on the basis that the property is to be occupied for a holiday as mentioned in the Housing Act 1988 Schedule 1 Paragraph 9 and the tenant/holiday maker acknowledges that no assured tenancy is granted and that no statutory periodic tenancy arises on the determination of the term of this letting.
